The Exchange Club of Jackson is a non-profit organization. It is an all-volunteer, service organization for men and women, who want to serve their community, develop leadership skills and enjoy new friendships. We contribute to the community by sponsoring or contributing to the following:
The Star Student banquet to honor students who make 1500 or higher on the SAT, a scholarship to the Star student, the student with the highest SAT score in the county, and a gift to honor the Star teacher, chosen by the Star Student.
We also give a small donation to each of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts troops in Butts County.
We make a donation to a Children Advocacy Association to help prevent child abuse. Jackson First Baptist Church donates shoes and socks to needy school children; we help sponsor this with a donation and volunteering.
Stark United Methodist Church River of Life is a weeklong mission to help under privileged elderly with home repair in our county. We contribute money and time to help with this mission.
The summer reading program at the local public Library is a program to help introduce pre-school and school age children to the adventures in reading. We help by paying for one of the Summer Reading programs each year.
The Flovilla Fire Department recently purchased a fire education house for youth and we contributed a large sum for this to help the youth of Butts County understand the importance of being prepared in case of fire.
We also make donations to Butts County Relay for Life and to the Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure.
We also support Butts County 4-H, the Flower Club of Jackson and the Army National Guard of Butts County with donations and use of our building for meetings.
